A treatment begins with a thorough case history. Your general health background & details of your current symtoms will be taken. There will then be a full examination of all the joints of the body to assess the position of these joints. This enables the chiropractor to feel for the misalignments that are causing the symtoms. With four years of training chiropractors have a highly developed sense of touch. This allows them to construct a detailed record of the position, state & alignment of the skeletal system. Upon analysis of the misalignments specific to the patient the chiropractor uses a series of light, swift & dexterous techniques that help to align the bone/joint into its correct position.

All organs require nerve information to function correctly, nerve information is passed through the spinal cord, protected within the spinal coloum. Any impediment to normal nerve supply, caused by slight misalignmnets of the veterbrae, can be the cause of pain, discomfort and disease. The re-establishment of spinal health through the restoration of vertebral function is of paramount importance. A letter is sent to your G.P. informing them of your treatment & allowing cooperation between your G.P. & Chiropractor where possible. If your chiropractor discovers or suggests a problem that enquire medical investigation they will refer you to your G.P.
